How do I know if my child could benefit from ABA Therapy?

If your child struggles with communication, social interactions, routines, or behavior challenges, ABA therapy can help them gain confidence, independence, and new skills that make everyday life easier.

What happens during the assessment?

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meets with your child to learn about their strengths, challenges, and goals. The assessment helps us design a personalized therapy plan tailored to their needs.

How long does it take to start therapy?

After the assessment, we handle the approval process with your insurance provider. Once approved, we schedule your child’s sessions as soon as possible.

What does a typical therapy session look like?

Therapists work one-on-one with your child through fun, engaging activities designed to teach and reinforce important life skills — all while making progress feel rewarding.

How are parents involved?

Families are part of every step. We offer parent training and regular updates so you can use the same strategies at home and celebrate your child’s progress together.

Does my child need an autism diagnosis to start?

Not necessarily, but most insurances require a diagnosis to cover services. If your child hasn’t been diagnosed yet, speak to their pediatrician — they can recommend a psychiatrist or psychologist who can provide a proper assessment and diagnosis if needed.

What’s the difference between ABA and other therapies?

ABA therapy is based on how behavior works and how learning happens. Instead of using a single approach, it breaks skills down into small, achievable steps — and uses positive reinforcement to help your child succeed.

Unlike speech or occupational therapy, which focus on specific areas (like communication or motor skills), ABA looks at the whole picture — behavior, communication, social interaction, and daily routines — helping your child apply what they learn across every part of life.
